My current research activities at Icam/ICA are about:

  • damage of composite structures under severe loadings (medium/high velocity impacts, bird strike, crash, underwater blast): composite material characterization, composite structure testing, damage scenario identification, damage modeling, numerical simulation (explicit).

Projects in the field: SUCCESS (DGA RAPID), SUCCESS+ (ASTRID Maturation), CROR.

PhD co-supervised:
– Dr. Jean-Emmanuel CHAMBE (ICA) works on the design of a composite frame for aircraft seats submitted to crash specifications (2018);
– Dr. Ldjoudi MANSERI (ICA) works on the experimental and numerical study of the behavior of hybrid unidirectional/woven composite laminates under impact loading (2019);
– Dr. Ye Pyae SONE OO (GeM) works on the development of analytical formulations based on super-elements method for the calculation of the response of immersed composite structures (plates, cylinders) under dynamic non-axisymetrical pressure field (2019).

– A method for updating joint model on lightwise structures in the medium frequency range (Ph.D, LMT-Cachan), under the supervision of Pr Olivier ALLIX and Dr Philippe ROUCH.

– Modeling of ice sheet failure and ice induced vibrations of offshore platforms (post-doctorate under the supervision of Pr. Andrei Metrikine, Delft University of Technology).
